My Country I Picked
I picked Australia out of Canada (North America), Mexico (Central America), Chile (South America), England (Europe), Germany (Europe), South Africa (Africa), United Arab Emirates (Middle East), Japan (Asia), Malaysia (South-East Asia), and Australia (Australasia).I picked Australia because they played the same sports New Zealand plays.I also picked it because one of my favorite colors are gold and that one of Australia icon.I also picked it because of that there are kangaroos there.

G'day Ana,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Tania and I am a Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitator. I have been emailing with Rachel and she has told me all about The Summer Learning Journey, it's great to see you have made a start and picked your country. I have been to Australia and I have family living on the Gold Coast to visit. When my children were little I took them to Australia Zoo and they liked patting the Kangaroos. Where would you like to go in Australia? What sports would you like to play?
Keep up the great researching, reading, writing, creating and sharing. Enjoy your summer holiday.
Nga mihi nui
Tania
Kia ora Ana!
ReplyDeleteI'm Mark, a teacher working for the Summer Learning Journey! I'm so sorry I missed this in my first pass through all the blogs! It is so good to see that you started! And Australia too! I lived there for a time when I was younger! It has so many amazing creatures!! I lived near the bush so I saw all kinds of interesting bugs, bats, and snakes on a regular basis. The coolest thing I saw was in Sydney one sunset. The city skyline was lit up orange and purple and this big group of fruit bats were flying across the tops of the buildings, it was beautiful.
I hope now that Christmas and New Years are finished, that you can find the time to continue your work on Australia and the Summer Leaning Journey. If not then I hope you continue to read and learn during the break in your own way! It is important the we practice the skills we learn during the year so that we do no lose them.
Kia kaha!
Mark
