Dear Prime Minister ,

Kia ora my name is Ana and I am a year 5 student at Point England School. I'm writing this letter to inform you that there is a problem in New Zealand and that problem is pollution. People keep littering which makes rubbish go in lakes, rivers, and the ocean which is not a healthy environment to live in. This environment is filthy it is not safe for people and animals and also not clean.

I think you should make strict rules like if you litter you have to do community service or pay a fine so they take their consequence. I learned that a lot of people are really careless. The estimate of how much trash in Auckland is 103,247,609. That’s why there should be people like you to see what's happening. The government  should donate some money to a charity to help clean the environment.

The reason you should do that is because our animals might get extinct. Especially the fishes and the seabirds so that's the first thing.Secondly the water won't be clean to drink and have a shower in.Finally the water won't be clean to swim in when it's a hot sunny day.
Your sincerely Ana

                                      Task Description:
My task was to write a letter about pollution in the ocean and rivers to John Key . Before I started this letter I had to watch a video about the pollution (It is linked at the top). It wasn't a normal letter I had to write a argument to John key. I had to write the post code like a real letter I also had to write the sender and the person i'm sending it to. The letter had to be three paragraphs and it took me one hour.
