  1. Kia ora Ana!! Welcome to the Summer Learning Journey. I am so thrilled to see that you have joined us. It's wonderful.

It is also wonderful to see how much work you put into making the slideshow about New Zealand. It is so full of interesting information and beautiful pictures. I was very impressed by how comprehensive it was and by the fact that you included the third official language of New Zealand (New Zealand sign language) in your presentation. It is a language that is often overlooked but very important to many kiwis.

I really hope that you enjoy participating in this programme and that you learn a lot as you go. I will be sure to come online each weekday to see if you have blogged and to write back. The next set of activities actually involve the All Blacks so it is quite cool that you chose to post a video of the ABs doing a haka. You will get to watch a few of the ABs in a special video as part of the activity tomorrow (Day 2 - Men in Black safety video). It's really funny!

Hope to see you online a lot over the next few weeks. It's great to have you on board!

    Cheers,
    Rachel

  5. Hello Ana,

Great to see your posts about NZ and the All Blacks. Did you see any of the Rugby World Cup last year? I managed to find a place to watch it here on TV, in Germany. A lot of people have never seen the sport, or heard of the All Blacks here!

    Cheers,
    Carolyn
